June 24th, 2009 by Silvia- Ryan O’Neal has finally asked Farrah Fawcett to marry him and she accepted! The couple who have been together since 1980 and have a 24 year old son are now embroiled in Farrah’s battle against cancer. In an interview Ryan said, “I used to ask her to marry me all the time, but … it just got to be a joke, you know. We just joked about it.” O’Neal says that they will get married as soon as they can and hopefully before she gets even worse. UPDATE: Farrah Fawcett passed away on Thursday morning. May she rest in peace.
- Dancing with the Stars couple Karina Smirnoff and Maksim Chmerkovskiy, who got engaged on New Year’s day, are busy planning their nuptials. The couple has not set a date yet, but they have decided on New York for the location and Karina wants “that fairy tale, big skirt ball gown. When else can you wear that?” Other than that, the couple are taking it slow in planning their wedding for next summer, most likely.
- Isla Fisher and Sacha Baron Cohen may not be walking down the aisle anytime soon. The couple, who has their hearts set on a wedding in Italy had to postpone their original date in 2006 due to escalating costs. Now it seems as if they will need to postpone again due to their hectic work schedules. Hopefully they’ll figure it out soon!
