Eco-Friendly Wedding
August 19th by WinnieA month and a half late, but I am finally getting around to posting the pictures from my friend’s wedding back in late June. The ceremony and recpetion were both held at the Holly Farm in Carmel Valley. With an eco-friendly wedding agenda, the weekend featured locally grown food, wood wedding rings and activities right on the premises all for the purpose of minimizing our impact on the Earth.
Some highlights:
-
I loved the old photographs on clotheslines along with seating assignments.
-
the favors were rosemary or lavender sea salts in mini spice jars, so aromatic!
-
the ceremony was held under a giant tree decorated with hanging paper lanterns
-
delicious buffet dinner prepared with all locally grown ingredients
-
baby betty!
-
and an awesome ice cream sundae bar for dessert!

I LOVE ice cream and I especially LOVE hot fudge sundaes so the ice cream sundae bar was the biggest treat for me. I piled on the hot fudge, whipped cream and toasted almonds…and of course went back for seconds!
What’s your favorite wedding dessert idea?

I love the ice cream bar idea too – with lots and lots of toppings! Chocolate fondue fountains are great too and will certainly get the guests talking and mingling!

The ice cream sundae bar is a fantastic idea! This is a great trend, as is the candy bar.
Beautiful wedding pictures.
