Wedding Inspiration: Quotes
November 25th, 2008 by SilviaWhen you start planning your wedding, inspiration can come from anywhere. You might see a pretty flower and decide that this will be the focus of your day. Maybe you get your inspiration from a specific location. I personally love the idea of finding inspiration from a quote because there are so many possibilities (Thanks Ritzybee for your great post!). You could find that quote from a book, a movie, one of your wedding songs, or even from an old letter, as long as it’s meaningful to both of you and you could fit it into just about any theme whether you and your partner are literary addicts, musically inclined, or even artsy people. Check out some of the ways these couples incorporated a favorite quote into their big day!
This couple didn’t exactly place this quote there themselves, but the Wayfarer’s Chapel definitely put an innovative spin on a classic prayer. What a gorgeous picture by Beautiful Day Photography!
Here are a few different ways to display your quotes. For example, you could place it on a placecard holder or hang it off your centerpiece (via TBC), attach it to your wine glasses, or even make it a part of your decorations, such as this cute mini bird’s nest and the accompanying quote.
This couple liked that quote so much that they had it inscribed into their rings as well as on some personalized napkins!
Another way to incorporate your quote is to frame it and display it prominently on a table or even atop your cake!
Here are a few easy DIY details where you can easily incorporate a quote or a favorite phrase such as these marbles. I also love the idea of attaching your quote to a compass or key and doing a play on words.
Here’s another idea that includes a compass, except this couple had this quote inscribed into their wedding stationery.
How cute is this bicycle display from Wedding Chicks? It incorporates two of my favorite things: vintage bikes and wooden signs! Too cute!
Finally, you can also find a way to stick your quote onto the walls of your reception, perhaps on the guestbook or wedding favor table like this decorology display. Or you can make it your centerpiece with one of these poem candle-holders.
UPDATE: I just received an e-mail from Dynamite Weddings. Apparently, the owner had a quote inspired wedding as well! You can check out the gorgeous wedding here.
