This cherry blossom porcelain dish is a practical gift that is every bit as beautiful. The cherry blossom (also known as sakura) is a beloved Japanese flower that takes a very prominent position in Japanese culture. The trays are hand painted by skilled artisans in Japan. I had purchased these dishes as prizes for the games played at a baby shower. The girls loved them and thought they were sweet. A great little place to put your rings or earrings. The Colors were beautiful, I bought them in the blue that is shown. However, the picture is slightly deceiving because it makes the dishes look delicate. They are a bit bulky. You also need to pay attention to the measurements as they are a little smaller than I thought they would be.

I'll be using this as a favor to hold candies and will be wrapped in a cellophane bag. I also ordered personalized labels which I'm sticking onto round tags (the kind with the metal rim) and tying with a sheer ribbon. I think this the dish is a very practical yet pretty favor.
