If you're reading this and you're a recent mom or dad, it's entirely possible that you've already tweeted the birth of your newest child or shared the experience primarily through Facebook photo albums.
However, one mom-to-be is taking her baby-naming to an extreme by allowing a pool of Facebook followers to pick her child's moniker.
Soon-to-be Toronto mom Rommy Alpinelli is letting Facebook users name her daughter, and so far, more than 1,000 people have cast their votes, reports the Montreal Gazette. Aria and Melania are the current favorites for the baby girl due on Saturday, with Aubrey, Parsia and Sophia as close seconds.
"I guess I was a little bit nervous at the beginning because I thought, 'What if they come up with a name I don't like?' But then I was thinking that people are not going to vote for name that's not nice," Alpinelli told the news source.
Alpinelli may wind up with a better name than she could have imagined, but she's also providing lots of expectant moms some creative material for baby shower themes in the digital age. Pregnant women can let guests have an interactive experience by creating a poll for themes, baby shower favors, and perhaps even gifts.
