The only thing that's worth drowning your costly wedding gown is emerging as an everyday hero on one of the most memorable days of your life.
Australia's ABC News reports that a bride and her wedding party were being photographed on a jetty when someone saw a woman bobbing face-down in the water. This prompted the bride, groom and a handful of others to come to her rescue.
The bridal party and life saving volunteers performed CPR on the 55-year-old woman until she began breathing again and regained consciousness, though it seems she suffered some spinal injuries, reports the news source.
According to Shane Daw of Surf Life Saving South Australia, this was only one of a few times a formal party got thoroughly soaked by the Adelaide coast, including other bridal parties and christenings, he told the news source.
Guests concerned about other types of unwanted spillage, such as wine bottles toppling during their affair, can give guests starfish wine bottle stoppers as memorable wedding favors.
