Groom showers level the playing field

Why should ladies get to have all the fun? We guess more than one person must have had this thought, because groom showers are becoming an increasingly popular way for men to soak in their own pre-wedding glory.

Groom showers are exactly what they sound like - they're like bridal showers for men. Of course, we can't say most of these occasions involve a bunch of men sitting around gushing over new linens and bath products, but perhaps this is a chance for the guys to hook their fella up with that new gadget he's had his eye on (okay, or maybe some really nice soaps and shaving products).

We're guessing this will set the tone for many boys' nights to come, so setting up with a bunch of nice personalized pilsner glasses wouldn't be an altogether bad idea.

These events can be as low-key or as all-out as you desire, so if you're thinking about upping the ante in terms of luxury, treating all the guests to a fine wine and cigar would be an appropriate and much-appreciated gesture. Who knows - the groomsmen may just shower the guest of honor with a personalized cherry wood humidor or an engraved silver plated pocket watch.
