How far would you walk for the wedding of your dreams?

It turns out some people take things quite literally when they say they'd walk a thousand miles for their nearest and dearest. One Michigan couple is embarking on a 2,000 mile pedestrian journey, the destination of which is their Las Vegas wedding.

According to Detroit television station WJBK, Joseph Crist and Laura Brunett are leaving in mid-April to arrive in time for their fall wedding. Though it was a book entitled "The Lost Art of Walking" that originally put the idea in their heads, the pair believe it's the ultimate way to prepare for a lifetime of marriage together.

With quite an enormous feat leading up to their ceremony, we're wondering how they'll pull off the celebration insofar as it wouldn't pale in comparison to their epic saga. A wedding like theirs requires equally dramatic gestures in the name of decor, wedding favors and an intimate wedding ritual or two.

Perhaps they could ditch the artificial light and have an entirely candlelit reception space, with 2,000 plus colored floating candles to commemorate each mile.
