According to IrishTimes.com, weddings in Ireland are as popular as ever, but the average ages of brides and grooms appear to be on the rise.
In 2007, more than 66 percent of guys headed to the altar were over the age of 30 - that's up from 42 percent in 1996. Brides are aging at a similar rate - 28 percent were over 30 in 1996, climbing to 52 percent in 2007.
