Italian tradition says that giving 5 Jordan almonds per guest represents wishes for Health, Wealth, Happiness, Longevity, and Fertility. Silver Jordan almonds are coated in shiny silver, while gold is white Jordan almonds wrapped in gold foil.

I stuff the favor box w/tissue paper & topped w/five almonds. Beautiful. My two bags may have been old, candy coating was too hard and I couldn't taste the almonds.
