These "collars" for cupcakes are terrific for their intended use, but I used them to "collar" a frozen dessert (chilled in pleated foil and paper cupcake liners) called "Coffee Tortoni." A "tortoni" is essentially a frozen mousse, made of whipped cream, egg whites, sugar, and vanilla flavoring. The "coffee" part comes from (believe it or not) instant coffee and some almond extract, topped with toasted slivered almonds. I served this fabulous dessert at a bridal shower, collared in four colors of this product, and it was a HIT (really a HOME RUN). You could use this collar (with a paper cupcake liner) to hold individual servings of nuts, mints or candy, or perhaps some little baked item (quiche?), muffins (obviously)...whatever. They are very, very nice and I recommend them wholeheartedly!
If you are serving cupcakes at a party, the cupcake wrappers are a MUST!!!!! They make the cupcakes look so much better and so professional. They come in all colors and designs, so there is always one that will work for the color theme of your party. Once you use them, you cannot be without them! I promise that you will be more than pleased with the look! Enjoy!
