Here in California, we love a wine-inspired wedding! So we thought it would be fitting to share some of our very favorite ideas. From color palettes to decor and favors, we have lots for you to see and hope to inspire you for your upcoming event! Keep reading to see all of our favorite ideas.
The classic wine country wedding color palette includes rich, jewel-tones such as marsala and plum. When choosing a color palette for your wine-inspired wedding (or any project), start with a photo that really speaks to you and from there, identify all of the colors represented in the photo and make a list. You might be surprised at what colors show up on your list! We love that this photo has a combination of reds and purples.
There are so many different ways to incorporate barrels into your wedding, from favors to decorations. They especially make beautiful tabletops for flower arrangements, cocktails and guestbook signing areas. Stack a wood tabletop over two barrels to create a larger table like pictured above.
We wouldn’t have wine without grapes, so why not give them a little recognition at the wedding? We love the idea of incorporating grapes into centerpieces and other flower arrangements. Want some help with your flower arranging? Check out some of our best tips here!
Repurpose empty wine bottles by using them as vases, table numbers, or as a wishing well where guests can write their special messages for the bride and groom.
Corks are a great alternative to a guest book. Ask guests to sign their name on a cork and stick it in a jar or other holder. You may even end up with a work of art!
We love all of these creative ideas! Especially the cork candles and the cork coasters turned into a chair back. Plus, who wouldn’t love these one-of-a-kind table numbers? Simply glue corks together to create the look.
Corks even make unique cake toppers! So simple and cute.
On the Menu
A wine-inspired wedding just wouldn’t be complete without some vino and it’s best pairings. This menu we put together provides a variety of delicious wine, cheese, and dessert pairings that are irresistible! We suggest having a tasting table at your wedding for guests to enjoy.
As far as how your wine, cheese, and desserts are presented, we especially love these looks! Arrange different flavors of cheese into the shape of a cake, enjoy desserts with wine-colored frosting, and for an extra special touch, adorn wine bottles with a personalized wine label.
Dress your bridesmaids in pretty shades of marsala and plum and don’t forget about the bride too! We like the idea of marsala or plum accessories, such as shoes or a flower crown.
Get the groom in on the fun with fun pops of color. A colored suit or accessories such as a bow tie both work.
Serveware & Decor
When it comes to serveware and decor, we say you can never go wrong with personalized items! Some of our favorites include this The Perfect Blend personalized art print, a personalized cheese board, a personalized wooden wine trough, and personalized stemless wine glasses! Perfect for displaying treats at the wedding or as gifts or favors too.
