These days, it's hard to say who really makes the rules when it comes to weddings. Ceremonies are becoming more individualized, grooms prematurely see their brides in full wedding wear and there's no set time limit for how long the whole process should take, especially since a growing number of couples are already acclimated to living together before they tie the knot.
"You're not having to over-think everything," recent bride Felicia Sabartinelli told USA Today insofar as a contracted wedding planning process bodes well for modern couples. Speaking from experience, Sabartinelli points out that drawing the process out results in brides "constantly changing their colors and themes [as well as] ballooning their budgets. It just becomes stressful."
For some couples, however, it's not easy to speed up the process. Some people deliberate over the smallest details as though they were choosing their last meals, and that's okay. If you're one of these people, there are small steps you can take to help you cut at least some of the corners.
When it comes to wedding favors, especially, there's no need to stress unduly over tiny gifts to offer your guests. Give them something everyone will love (hint: anything involving sweets and chocolate puts edible wedding favors at the top of our list).
