Throw a stellar Bar or Bat Mitzvah

Challah bread, flying stools and spiraling circles of pinky-linked people are all classic staples of any Bar or Bat Mitzvah. However, if you're having issues coordinating some of the goodies beforehand, there are a number of easy options to tie your event together.
Many would argue that the best part of any synagogue service is the catering at the end, so why deny party-goers the delight of a bountiful feast? Set out platters of custom Bar or Bat Mitzvah cookies, or even hand out custom cartoon cookies designed to look like the guest of honor.
For a more individual approach, offer guests personalized custom favor cakes, personalized Bar or Bat Mitzvah chocolate bars or personalized tins of mints or candy.
For decor, a classic approach to fall back on would be to implement a blue and white theme wherever you can. Balloons, centerpieces and all forms of lighting will take on a festive tone once scattered around the event space. Ornaments reflecting your son's or daughters hobbies and interests will do well as tabletop features.
